Height:	390 m	/	1279 ft
Notes:	Hart Tor sits in the centre of Walkhampton Common and is clearly seen from the nearby B3212 Princetown road. About 100m north of the tor is a disused rifle range originating from the early 1800s. The 'yardage markers' are still visible. This whole area is littered with Tinner's Gullies.

	Parking
	You can park in the car park at Norsworthy Bridge (SX 56810 69400) or the one near Sharpitor (SX 56067 70905). You can also park at numerous spots along the B3212 road to Princetown

	Military Ranges
	Hart Tor (Walkhampton Common) does not sit in or nearby a military range.

	Bog
	There is soft ground to the north around the Meavy and to the NW towards South Hessary Tor.

	Difficulty
	Easy: This tor is very easy to reach by the footpath from Norsworthy Bridge or from the nearby B3212.

Leg	Instruction
1	Park your car at the car park at Norsworthy Bridge (SX 56810 69400)
2	Follow the path up through Norsworthy & then Raddick Plantations. When you get to Leather Tor bridge (old stone bridge) do not take the right-hand fork and keep on the left path (do not cross the bridge though!)
3	After a mile you will leave the wood behind and enter the Meavy Valley. Keep to the left of the river here as there is a lit of clitter on the right hand bank. I recommend walking up and following the path of the river from around half way up the valley.
4	Once you pass the aqueduct that carries Drake's Leat over the Meavy, you should see Black Tor sitting on the top of the left hand side of the valley a couple of hundred metres away.
5	Enjoy the views back across Burrator and across to Hart Tor.
6	You can now aim straight for Hart Tor which is to the ENE of your position °.
7	As you near the River Meavy you will find the ground can be quite marshy in places, especially in wet weather. Cross the river safely where you can.
8	Weave your way around the old Tinner's Gullies toward the summit of Hart Tor.
9	When we walked this route we were enveloped with good old Dartmoor Mist so decided to cut the route short however from this spot you can quite easily take in Cramber Tor on your way back to the car park.
10	Head directly S, cross Hart Tor Brook until you hit Devonport Leat. From here aim for the forest in a SE direction.
11	As you near the forest you should see double metal gates. This is the top of Raddick Lane.
12	Follow the land all the way down until you reach Leather Tor Bridge again before making your way back along the track to your car
